Extreme Justice is Extreme Injustice

Legal Maxim, Marcus Tullius Cicero, 106 - 43 BC

In the year since the worst terrorist attack on our nation’s soil, the united States has been under siege on multiple levels to various degrees.

Not surprisingly, our own government that supposedly represents We the People have taken advantage of this tragic situation and used it against us to gain extensive control over our individual liberties.

Air travel is now a major problem for airlines and people alike. Racial profiling has become a heated stumbling block with so-called safety inspectors who can barely speak English pulling out hard looking males with any kind of facial hair, or women that may look remotely Amish, making them perform various striptease acts while copping a feel in the guise of a legal search.

And to make it look all fair and legit, 80-year-old grand-parents and months old screaming babies are being pulled out of line and made to go through the humiliating public ritual.

We the People mumble our discontent, but follow blindly along like dumb sheep, lying to ourselves that all this is being done for the good of the country and that we’re doing our part to, "fight terrorism," all the while shouting the rehearsed slogans the government-subsidized PR boys have taught us like... United We Stand! ... God Bless America! ... and so on until it becomes second nature, never realizing that this government crack-down of the American people has nothing to do with fighting terrorism, but rather keeping us under control.

Our nation’s politicians, from local to national, advise us to, "Get out and enjoy life again! Travel through this great land of ours! Don’t let the terrorists win by staying home!" ...

The only problem with that rhetoric is that many touristy places and historical sites have been closed since last year. The city of New York for instance, has been in a state of yellow alert for all of this year (during the attack, NYC was in a red alert). New Yorkers are told they need to be ever watchful; ever suspicious of what goes on around them and their neighborhood, and nothing else. If you know New Yorkers, as I am one, than you already understand that we are suspicious by nature, but we’re also doers and have no patience to just stand by.

The day after the attack on NYC, the Statue of Liberty was closed to the public with no word as to when, if ever, it will reopen.

How are we suppose to get on with our lives if the officials that we elected keep their boots pressed upon our necks?

On other levels of terror during this past year, the West has had the worst drought and fires anyone can remember while the mid-West was going through life changing flooding.

On the West coast, the government decided to cut off the water supply to the farmers and ranchers of Klamath Falls, Oregon to give to the dreaded sucker fish, as the California Supreme Court rendered a verdict that One Nation Under God was unconstitutional in the Pledge of Allegiance as it interfered with the separation of church and state (which there is no such statement anywhere in our Constitution), and therefore must be taken out.

In one sense, the terrorists did win last September 11th. Our lives have been changed. The government has gained near total control over our unique individuality. The light is slowing fading from our sight. What then will be left for our future generations to come?

Well, the government and some minor radical groups may want to take God out of this country’s Christian foundation, but there are still millions of people, Americans all, that demand the Lord be ruler over all and in every area of this nation’s vast resources.

Satan, too, has thorns in his side and they are God’s children.

Therefore, we must not dwell upon the chaos that is happening all around us with slumped shoulders, but rather let us stand bold with hope and courage, and remember and harken unto our Creator’s wisdom if we wish and desire to see this great land of ours return to a more prosperous union, as He admonishes us in 2 Chronicles 7 : 13-14 ...

If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

The times may seem to be crazy now, but be prepared ... they’re going to get a lot worse as time continues on. But be of good cheer. Stand firm and stand strong. Remember to hold fast to your faith, because you and God are a majority.

 Until next month,

Kevin
